About Us

David Cawthon

Dave Cawthon started in the financial services industry back in 1991 with Prudential. In 2008, Dave ventured out on his own and started David Cawthon Insurance & Financial Services. Dave has had extensive training in complex insurance & financial services including topics such as Medicare, retirement, estate, college, long-term care, and life insurance planning. Dave has a heart for service and loves helping people. He gives you the whole story and all the information needed, so you can make an informed decision.

My high school sweetheart, Brenda, and I have been married for over 33 years. We are very proud parents of Quinten, Clayton, Olivia, & Ian and grandparents to Nolan, Ava, Isabella, & Eliana. I have pictures, just ask and I will gladly show them to you!

We are active members of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where I enjoy serving in various youth ministries. Since 2004, I have organized and led the six-day St. Peter’s 8th grade class trip to Washington, D.C. I am a youth leader for FOUND, St. Peter’s junior high youth group. In addition to St. Peter’s ministries, I have served on over thirty Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) weekends and several QUEST weekends. I have helped organize and lead trips to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis & the March for Life in Washington, D.C. I’m actively involved in promoting Christian concerts in the Quincy area. We’ve brought Casting Crowns, Skillet, Newsboys, Matthew West, & Jeremy Camp just to name a few.

In my free time, I enjoy woodworking. Recently, my son and I finished bedside tables for his room, and my son-in-law and I finished a picnic table for their porch. I’ve made cabinets, dining tables, bookshelves, living room furniture, and more – it’s amazing what a tree can be!

We love spending time with our family and friends. Most weekends are spent sharing good conversation over dinner, over drinks, or around the bonfire. Family and friends are one of God’s greatest gifts!
